Product Items are connected to Categories in GXP, and in iRiS Guest you can add Images, Text, Prices, Modifiers and Attributes to them so they are personalised depending on your menu. To start:

  1. Navigate to your Property in GXP, and go to Content Management > Items
  2. Enter your Internal Name, and Item Name that shows on iRiS Guest
  3. Set your Type to Product
  4. Set your Is Visible toggle to Yes
  5. Add a Price for the Item
  6. Add a Short or Long Descriptions as necessary.

That's the basic structure of a Product Item. Below we have added the Title, Image, Short Description and Price.

The Add your Comment box, and the Quantity are built into each Product Item. To personalise the Item further with Modifiers and Attributes, simply go back to Content Management > Item and open your Item. Scrolling down to add your Modifiers first by clicking on + Add Modifiers and choose the Modifiers you want to add.

Note, the Long Description will always be hidden behind a drop down if you apply Modifiers to the Item, as we prioritise the Item Modifier over the text. The below shows a configuration on GXP added to a Product Item

The Modifiers can be set as either Required or not, forcing the user to specify their choice. The Item with these Modifiers attached looks like the below on the left:

iRiS Guest will update the totals that you add so that when the user presses on Add to Cart, they can review their totals before placing their order.

You should now be able to create a Product Item and add Modifiers to the menu item to personalise it.
