Learn how to setup your Outlet for either Product Orders or Service Requests using 2 Section types.


iRiS Guest supports multiple Outlets being supported for your guests. It's important to note you cannot cross over Outlet types, so if you create an Order Outlet you can only attach Product Items to the Order Outlet as this utilises the Cart. For Service Outlets it only accept Service Request Items. You can add Information or Direct Content Items to each Outlet type, but you cannot crossover the Product and Service Item types. To start first create the Outlet Content Section. To do this:


  1. Navigate to your Property in GXP, and go to Content Management > Sections.
  2. At the top click on + Add New Section
  3. Provide an Internal Name and Display Name
  4. Choose an Icon that will be displayed in the Side Menu in iRiS Guest
  5. Set the Type as Outlet Content
  6. Choose either Order or Service in the Outlet Type dropdown
  7. Set the Is Visible toggle to Yes
  8. Scroll to the bottom and click on + Add Outlet and choose your Outlet(s)


On Saving, this will now display your Outlet Content Section in the Side Menu and sits alongside the Standard, External, or Web Section types. For the Outlets to work in iRiS Guest, Interactive Sections need to be created, and they will automatically pair with the Outlet Section you've created when you chose the Outlet. To start:


  1. Navigate to your Property in GXP, and go to Content Management > Sections.
  2. At the top click on + Add New Section
  3. Provide an Internal Name and Display Name
  4. Choose an Icon that will be displayed in the Outlet in iRiS Guest
  5. Set the Type as Interactive Content
  6. Set the Is Visible toggle to Yes
  7. Scroll down and look for the details area, and click on + Add Outlet and choose your Outlet(s)
  8. Add the Categories that are connected to your Outlet. (If they don't appear here, find your Categories and connect them to the Outlet)


Once Saved, you can see the Outlet Content Section that sites in the Side Menu (Food & Drink) and the Interactive Sections appear in the Outlet (Breakfast, All-Day...)


To re-order your Interactive Sections navigate over to Content Management > Sections and click on the down arrow expander for your Outlet Section to reveal the nested Interactive Sections.



You should now be able to create content for Outlets, pair your Categories with Product or Service Request Items in. Remember to check your content in Draft mode before you publish your Live Version.
